This week we recorded the Champions Dinner. The dinner is put on by the optimists club and they recognize students and other citizens for doing great things in SCS. The students who were recognized earned a scholarship for $12,000 and the citizens earned a medal and plaque. One of the people I remember most was the man who payed for multiple soldiers funerals, and something on his bucket list was to host a funeral at the tomb of the unknown soldier.
I have wanted to give up on tasks before, some I have and some I haven't. After reading the article the thing that really stuck to me was giving up who you were in the past. I really agree with that, because who you WERE doesn't have to define who you ARE. You could have been a drug addict in the past but turn your life around and become a doctor. You would have to really want it and it would take a lot of time but you could leave your past behind.
